GenerationReady™ for Families

GenerationReady™ for Families is a program of the American Red Cross of Greater Cleveland, specifically designed with families in mind, to help them improve emergency awareness and become better prepared for when an emergency strikes. GenerationReady™ for Families is broken down into these three, easy-to-follow steps:

  • Get a Kit makes recommendations on different supplies and essentials participants should have on hand in the event of an emergency.
  • Make a Plan suggests different steps that should be taken to be best prepared before, during and after an emergency.
  • Be Informed provides general contact information on state/local agencies, radio stations and television stations.

Through the generous support and commitment of The Cleveland Foundation and Energizer® Batteries, this program is able to provide families with the necessary information and potentially life-saving steps that should be taken in the event that the unexpected occurs.

Next Steps: If you are interested in attending a scheduled class at an American Red Cross site or scheduling a program at your site, please contact Joyce Puryear, Citizen Preparedness Coordinator, at 216.426.7277 or via email puryearj@redcross-cleveland.org.
