Pet First Aid

Will you know what to do when your pet needs help?

Demand for pet safety courses is on the rise. Just like with people, accidents and emergencies can happen to animals – so helping people prepare could make a lifesaving difference.

The American Red Cross has made it easy for you to teach Dog and Cat First Aid in our community.

With the new Dog or Cat First Aid Leader’s Guide and a Dog or Cat First Aid book with companion DVD, you can learn the skills needed to guide others to assist their dog or cat during an emergency.

Teach Dog or Cat First Aid in:

  • Your local Red Cross chapter
  • Community centers
  • Pet stores
  • Private groups
  • Schools

Dog & Cat First Aid Leader Orientations:

Each class participant receives a copy of, either the dog or the cat first aid book, DVD, and either the dog or cat leaders guide. An additional copy may be purchased at a discount at the time of registration or during the class.
