How to become a Group Volunteer

Please follow these steps for becoming a Greater Cleveland Chapter Group Volunteer:

  1. View the Volunteer Handbook.
  2. If you don't have a user account, register here.
  3. View the Volunteer Information Session (VIS) Training schedule and sign up for the VIS training course that's most convenient for you.
  4. If you want to volunteer locally in a non-disaster capacity, review and choose from the list of One-shot Volunteer Assignments. Fill out the Contact Information sheet, Group Profile form, and submit the information online.
  5. If your group wants to volunteer during a disaster on a local or national level and has proper training and has participated with the Greater Cleveland Red Cross, please call Emergency Services department at 216.431.3109 for more information.
  6. If your group wants to volunteer during a disaster at a local or national level and has not received training and has not participated in the past with the Greater Cleveland Red Cross, please contact Jo Ann Schindler, Manager of the Office of Volunteer Personnel at 216.431.3335.
