Project: Kids Can Help Kids Can Help project introduces children to volunteerism and philanthropy and empowers children through volunteer work. It is a service-learning project that is easy for teachers to add to their curriculum and a fun and meaningful experience for children. The project is aligned with state academic standards for K-12 Social Studies. We will provide you with a free kit which contains a videotape, lesson plan, display materials, blank thank-you cards, and return mailing envelope with prepaid postage. In 30 minutes, children can decorate the thank you cards for our volunteers and financial donors while learning about the American Red Cross founder Clara Barton and how the Red Cross serves the community. Children can reflect on their learning by being asked questions such as:
